Lo que más me gustaría ahora es estar en Nottingham, compitiendo en el Europeo. No lo niego. Pero estar aquí sentado y ver los resultados en directo por internet…mola. Ojalá hubiera una competición que seguir cada fin de semana. Ya no quiero ni pensar si además lo dieran por la tele. Ha estado bien también hacer comentarios por twitter con el Toni y Alberto. A ver si para las próximas se apunta más gente! El slalom es guai, es emocionante, y tengo que decir, que al menos como espectador, el nuevo sistema triumfa.

Si además de eso sumas que estamos viendo Roland Garros, donde Rafa está sufriendo hoy contra un sueco…

Ah, y una cosa más… felicidades a Molmenti, tiempazo y campeón!! Complimenti. Y respecto a los Spanish, gran resultado de la patrulla de k1h, quintos de Europa, y sendas finales de Maialen y Questions.

I recognize that what I’d like most right now is being in Nottingham, racing in the Europeans. However, being at home watching live results on the internet is cool anyway. I wish there’d be a race every weekend, and broadcasting… would be the best. It’s been nice as well to make and read comments on twitter, I didn’t know twitter before, but it’s worth for this kind of things. Slalom is cool, fascinating, and I love it in any way. And I have to say that, from the point of view of the spectator, the new race system likes me.

Besides all, at the same time we’re watching Rafa Nadal suffering against a swedish… Vamos Rafa!

No he comentado nada de las pruebas de selección… por algo será. Ya sabréis que me fueron bastante mal y me quedé fuera, así que hoy después de pillar unas olas en el Segre, que está de muerte, me he puesto a hacer prácticas de pastor.

Hoy al volver de Barcelona, nos hemos ido en seguida al “spot” de olas que ha aparecido en el Segre, debido a su crecida. Cuatro olas de bastante altura, y aunque un poco difíciles de controlar surfeando, buenas para intentar trucos bajando con la de slalom. Mañana a Sort, que parece que el tema está guapo también.

I’ve made no comment about the team selections, obviously there’s a reason for that. I never had good feelings, and the others did pretty well, so I’m out. So, after surfing some waves in the Segre river, which is awesome right now, this afternoon, I made some practice as sheep keeper.

Today, been back from Barcelona, we went right after arrived to the new wave spot appeared in the Segre river, due to the water level growth. Four waves in a row, pretty high, but quite hard to control it while surfing. However, it was nice to try some tricks like kickflips. Tomorrow, we’re going to Sort, where they say the river is quite flooded as well, and it’s worth it. Let’s see.

Fin de semana movidito. El sábado Copa Catalana en Ponts, y al acabar, directos en el coche con Alberto y Marc y Ana Belén a toda caña. Con el Vaaaaaz siguiendo al Golf de las Susana, Anna, Marta y Meri, toda la tarde rodando hasta nuestro asentamiento en Pau. Y todo eso para…asistir a Copa de Euskadi en Orthez!!

Mi capsulitis no me ha dado muchos problemas para competir, si bien tampoco he dado mi máximo nivel. Me he encontrado muy bien los dos y la verdad es que soy optimista. Cuesta ahora mismo ganar medallas incluso en autonómico, y los tiempos de los días me dejan satisfecho por ahora.

Ahora un día más de entreno en Orthez, para preparar las presuntas pruebas de selección, y vuelta a casa para la semana santa.

Nomad weekend. Catalonia cup in Ponts last Saturday and right after that, we were heading to Orthez, almost 400km away, for a Basque country cup on Sunday.

Races weren’t too bad, as I was still recovering from my injury the Monday before, in a finger. I still hurt, but I could paddle quite confortably. It’s not easy to get a medal even in a regional cup, right now in Spain. Everybody is paddling very well, and the level is higher than ever, specially in the k1 men. And as I weren’t far from the others, with the finger like that, I’m satisfied.

We remained in Orthez for one day more, so we can paddle I little more there.

Good, more canoeing, great.
